Agility

 

Agility is an action-packed sport!   Handlers and their dogs race against the clock on an obstacle course that includes jumps, weave poles, A-frames and tunnels.  

Every agility trial has a different course, and jump heights are set according to the dog's height at the shoulder.  There are Novice, Open, Excellent, Master and Championship agility titles. TDOC, as a licensed club of the American Kennel Club, is sanctioned to hold agility trials in the Tallahassee area.

Because of the size and space requirements of the agility equipment, TDOC does not offer agility classes.  However, many of our members are actively training and competing in agility, and TDOC members can help you and your dog get started in this fast paced, exciting sport.
